The global semiconductor market is now solidly in a turnaround. WSTS revised its data for 2Q 2023 growth over 1Q 2023 to 6.0% from 4.2% previously. 3Q 2023 was up 6.3% from 2Q 2023. With our Semiconductor Intelligence forecast of 3% growth in 4Q 2023, the year-to-year growth in 4Q 2023 will be a positive 6%. This will set the stage for double-digit year-to-year growth for each quarter of 2024.

Intel plans to place $14 billion worth of orders with TSMC in 2024 to fab 3nm CPU tiles, with orders totaling $10 billion in 2025. Intel is expected to become TSMC's second-largest 3nm customer, replacing AMD. By 2024, Intel expects to receive 15,000-3000 wafers per month from TSMC, increasing to 30,000 in 2025.

This work proposes a modeling approach for robotic systems that uses FPGA-based architectures to process compute-intensive algorithms. The approach aims to create compact, expressive descriptions of the system, integrating existing algorithms and leveraging FPGA advantages. The model must be application-independent and leverage FPGA advantages, surpassing software-based solutions. Data type and flow analysis are performed, and six schedulers are proposed for various scenarios. Solutions are evaluated using four use cases.
